How to turn on two-step verification (2FA)
Two-step verification asks for your password plus a 6-digit code generated by an authenticator app on your phone, such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or Authy. You turn it on in Configurações (Settings), on the Autenticação em Dois Fatores (Two-factor authentication) card.
How to turn it on
- Install an authenticator app on your phone.
- In Scrumboards, click your photo at the top of the screen, then Configurações.
- Scroll down to Autenticação em Dois Fatores and click Ativar 2FA (Enable 2FA).
- Open the authenticator app and scan the QR code. If you can't scan it, type the code shown right below it.
- Click Já escaneei, continuar (I've scanned it, continue).
- Enter the 6-digit code the app shows and click Confirmar (Confirm).
Done: the card now shows Ativo (Active). On future sign-ins, after your password (or Google), Scrumboards asks for the code from the app.
How to turn it off
- In Configurações, on the Autenticação em Dois Fatores card, click Desativar 2FA (Disable 2FA).
- Enter the current code from the app.
- Click Confirmar desativação (Confirm disable).

Frequently asked questions
I don't see Settings in my menu. How do I turn it on?
The Settings page is available to the owner, admins, and anyone with the Editar configurações (Edit settings) permission. If you don't have access, ask an admin in your company.
I lost the phone with the app. What now?
Without the code, you can't sign in. Email [email protected] from your account email to request a verification reset.
Can I be required to turn it on?
Yes. In companies where this rule is on, company administrators see the Ative a verificação em duas etapas (Turn on two-step verification) screen right after signing in and must turn it on before continuing.
